Indefinite Leave process- May help few

This writing may help people who are on WP/HSMP or combination and in the country for last 5 years and are about to apply ILR just to kill this visa burden,

Application form is bit vague in terms of documentation as it asked for proof of economic activity for last 5 years and not enough info available on net,

I will try to summarize what exactly we need to proof that and what is most important thing home office after.


Appointment:

Appointments can be booked in 6 weeks advance whether online or via phone, remember to book family appointment if you carrying passports of your family member. if you cant find good date on first booking, just keep trying, I change my booking 4 times before I got required date.

Documents
1. Set(O) form along with docmuents, Passports (all) especially your first entry on working visa, and to show one didnt stay more than 180 days out of country in 5 years and 3 months continually you need to show your all entry/exits stamps from passport.

if you do extensive travel for business purpose make sure you have letter from your employer stating that these vistis along with dates were for business only purpose.

Put an spreadsheet together for all entry exit stamps date along with PP page numbers and reason whether holidays or bussiness travel

2. Ideally P60 for your all years and atleast P60 for last 2 years (if you misssing any call HMRC for certificate of income tax) and

3. Ideally all payslips+bank statment after your last P60, must have is last 3 bank statment+Salary slips.

4. Letter from your employer for continuation of your employment.

5. First Entry document (WP or HSMP Letter, photocopy can work)

Process:

IN PEO, firstly you have to go through airport style security, than your documents will be checked along with form, if HO find them straight case, you will be asked for payment via card/cash.

Your number will be called out and VO will go through your documents, normally no question asked if it is straight through application, for them point of interest is how long one stayed out of country and when first you arrived.

If you stayed more than 180 days, quiz starts and you need to demonstrate for how long you travelled for business purpose, get letter from employer to support this, other wise HO can jeoperidze your application. if it is more than 180 days than you may be asked to apply by post and if it is more than 235 days than you better apply later.


All documents should be original otherwise get them stamped from your employer/bank or relevant office.
